Wellness Baby Clinic
In commemoration of children’s day celebration, the Nursing department of Saifee Hospital
organized a wellness baby clinic on 14th November 2016 for the babies born in our hospital from December 2015 to May 2016.
The response was overwhelming with approximately 50 children attending the clinic. This included physical examination by nurses, medical checkup by the pediatricians and dietary counseling by the dietitian on ‘weaning schedule’ to the parents of these infants.
Gift hamper was presented to every child that attended the clinic. It was indeed an exciting day for the children and their parents as they had a feeling of belongingness with Saifee Hospital.

Health Awareness Programme
A Health Awareness Programme by Dr. A.R.Undre on Mind Your Head in collaboration with Royal Educational Society was organised on 25th September 2016.
Saifee Hospital organised a medical camp for the staff of Hotel Taj Vivanta on 29th September 2016. Total number of 71 staff was screened and consulted by Dr. Altamash Shaikh. The following tests were carried for the staff:- B.P. , Height, Weight, Random Blood Sugar, Hb1Ac, Lipid Profile and General Examination followed by Consultation.
Saifee Hospital organised a medical camp for the staff and viewers of Metro Cinema, Dhobi Talao on 9th October 2016. The following tests were carried for the staff:- B.P. , Height, Weight, Random Blood Sugar, Hb1Ac, Lipid Profile and General Examination followed by Consultation by Dr. Altamash Shaikh.
Saifee hospital applied for NABH Safe I certification in August 2014. The process began with a Baseline Assessment by the external auditor on 16th and 17th Sept 2014 . Based on the recommendations necessary policies and protocols were implemented and training of the 6 Modules was conducted across the hospital for various health care personnel including nurses, doctors, paramedics , and housekeeping staff .The End line Assessment was conducted on 25th February 2015 and the final assessment was on 18th April 2015 by the external auditor . As per the report received from the NABH Safe I, most of the aspects were found to be complied with except for 2 non compliances which required closure. However, these are also been taken care of and the closure report will be forwarded to the NABH Safe I.
Medical Camp at Byculla
A medical camp was organized for the Female Prisoners at Mumbai Jillha Mahila Karagraha, Byculla, Mumbai along with The Crossroads Prison Ministries on 11th June 2016. A team of doctors and nurses from Saifee Hospital examined around 300 female prisoners and 25 childrens. Free medicines were distributed to all according to their medical problems.

Dr. Arthur Prem along with six senior co-ordinators of Crossroads Ministries also contributed by distributing medicines and soaps to the female prisoners.
NABH final assessment
NABH final assessment was held from 29th May to 31st May 2016.
A team of medical experts namely:
Dr. Vibhu Rajan Gupta M.D. - Medanta, Medicity, Gurgaon;
Ms. Beena Jose - Nursing Sister - JLN Hospital & Research Centre,
Bhilai Steel Plant, SAIL and
Dr. Anil Henry - Director Christain Hospital, Mungeli, Chhatisgarh
were assigned by the NABH board.
The final assessment was completed and the team has given a satisfactory report to the board for certification.

Tie-up with PATH Organization
Saifee Hospital has tied up with PATH Organization for a comprehensive TB diagnostic and therapeutic services in collaboration with Bill Melinda Gates Foundation.
Patients are entitled for a free GenXpert, Digital Chest X-Ray, CBC, ESR and first line Anti TB drugs.

110 FREE Cataract SurgeriesFrom 11th Dec 2015 Saifee Hospital Dept.of Ophthalmology conducted 110 cataract surgery (including pre-op investigations) completely free for every needy patient.
This has been possible due to generous donation from Dr.Syedna Taher Saifuddin Memorial Foundation.
TB Camp Project
Saifee Hospital supported Rotary International’s TB Camp Project on Sunday the 29th Nov, 2015 at the Salvation Army HQ at Byculla. A total of about 250 economically weak people of various communities were screened and benefited from this camp conducted by the Doctors from the Saifee Hospital, Mumbai. Diabetes Check up was also conducted by Dr. Mohammed Pithwala of Saifee Hospital.
